Pink Tower Montessori School is dedicated to providing an enriching and challenging educational environment where each child is encouraged to grow to his or her fullest potential academically, emotionally and socially. Through the dynamic partnership of child, parent and teacher, a consistent Montessori framework for learning is developed, offering “An Education for Life.”

Mission

Our mission as stated above, is to prepare children for life in their changing world. Our educational approach depends on respectful and honest relationships between teachers and children, teachers and parents, and parents and children. All these relationships play a a formative role in the lives of children as they learn, mature, and become well-rounded individuals.

Teachers

Our teachers are trained and experienced. We expect them to:

  • Bring passion, love, imagination, intelligence, and enthusiastic endeavor to their practice and to the child’s day
  • Mentor our students as learners, risk-takers, and evolving young individual human beings, seeking to connect with and inspire each child’s unique best self
  • Foster in our children independent thinking, self advocacy, and compassionate relationships with others
  • Constantly grow as professionals, deepening our knowledge and improving our practice to support the education and development of the child

Parents

Our parents support the mission of the school, the work of the teacher, and the growth of the child.  We ask them to:

  • Understand and embrace the school’s  philosophy, programs and policies and to involve themselves in the life of the school
  • Welcome and respect all members of the school community
  • Collaborate openly and fully with the school’s goals, philosophy, and practices in service of their child’s academic, social, and emotional needs and growth

Students

Our students are 2 years to 6 years old. Our expectations for them are age appropriate and evolve as they mature. Learning at Pink Tower Montessori results from respectful relationships. At every level, we ask children to:

  • Take responsibility for their work
  • Be aware of how their actions affect others
  • Put forth their best effort no matter what the challenge
  • Respect teachers, peers, and other members of the community
  • Follow classroom procedures
